    Xbox 360 controller won't stop blinking using PC


    I bought the wireless connector for Xbox 360 controllers for the PC. So I connected it, synced the controller and it works just fine. I can play games normally (sometimes it disconnects but I think its the battery), but the controller
    lights aroung the Xbox button never stops blinking. It never stops at one player and keeps blinking like it's searching to connect... It's not really a big problem since I can play games normally but it annoys me and I'd like to fix it.

    XBox one controller won't connect to Windows 10 pc.

    I have a xbox one wireless controller I use as a mouse on the pc. I have Cerebral Palsy and find the xbox one controller easy to use for me. I have used a wired one and it worked well but wanted the freedom of a wireless controller. It worked for a week
    or two but now it won't connect indicated by a blinking light. Tried rebooting the pc and updating the firmware of the controller using Xbox Accessories and a micro usb connection, but Xbox Accessories says to connect a Controller. I tried other suggestions
    in this and other forums w/o success. Tried it with another pc and it does pair but it just keeps on blinking. I also tried removing the controller from the pc and re-pairing and it still had the blinking....

    This thing worked at one time w/o a problem for a week or so but something happened. Anyone have any ideas? Could the controller have gone bad?

    Odd wireless controller issue

    Not sure if this is the right place for hardware faults, but I'll have a go anyway.

    The problem I am facing with my wireless controller is that the four quadrant lights won't stop blinking. They're blinking simultaneously, and NOT in a loop like they do when the batteries are dying. Basically, it's the same pattern as when the controller
    is looking for a wireless signal from the Xbox 360.

    Now, the controller WILL turn the Xbox 360 on, and it WILL connect and work... BUT the lights won't stop flashing, and if I hold down the Guide button and choose Turn Off Controller it does nothing, the controller remains on. Turn Off Console still works,
    though.

    I've attached a Plug 'n' Play Charge cable to it instead of using batteries and it's the same. The batteries are still pretty much full. I also tried it with a wired MadCatz controller and the lights DID stop, and quadrant 1 lit up as usual.

    And before anyone asks, yes.. I have tried to re-sync the controller. It does sync, but the lights still blink continuously.

    Just wondering if anyone has an idea or an answer? I'm guessing though, the controller is knackered?

    Ok, so does that mean I have to "re-pair" the controller with an Xbox first and that's why it isn't blinking on its own? That would mean the controller is working perfectly fine and it's normal that it doesn't blink when pressing the Xbox button after using

    Hello there,

    This sounds like a familiar problem I had with one of my controllers a while ago. I found that the connection with the wireless adapter was much more reliable.

    I recommend you have the PC forget the bluetooth connection with the controller, and have the controller depend only on the connection with the wireless adapter. When you disconnect the controller from the PC, it's possible that it will blink as though it is not connected to anything--this is okay.

    Just reconnect to the wireless adapter only, without going through the bluetooth settings on your PC, by:

    1. Press and hold the connection button on your controller until the Nexus button blinks rapidly
    2. Press and hold the wireless adapter's connection button until the indicator light on it blinks rapidly
    3. Wait a few seconds for the controller and adapter to find each other, and for the blinking to slow down and stop, indicating a successful connection

    Not sure what's happened here but the problem is either with the controller hardware itself or the Xbox 360. The 360 controllers can be used on both interchangeably. It won't become a 'Windows 360 controller' after you use on a PC. I have an old 360 that I fire up every now and again, my controller works on both my PC and my 360.
