    i have a xbox 360 controller and i want to use it for my xbox one. i have read that it is possible while using the xbox app on windows 10. https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-on-windows/accessories/xbox-controller-for-windows-setup .
    the sentence in the blue says that i can use the xbox app on windows 10 to check it if the controller is working. so my question is can it work on your xbox one the xbox 360 controller while using the xbox app on windows 10?

    Set up a wired controller on Windows 10

    Follow these steps to install your Xbox 360 wired controller on Windows 10:

    1. Plug the Xbox 360 controller into any USB 2.0 or 3.0 port on the computer.

    Xbox 360 controller with xbox app in windows 10?

    I am getting windows 10 at the end of this month & very eager to play xbox one games on the PC, with a gaming controller.

    I want to know if I would be able to use the xbox app with windows 10 and play xbox one games while using an xbox 360 controller, as I'm on a tight budget and can't afford to shell out for xbox one controllers right now.

    Yup. Xbox One controllers are built a bit poorly.

    If it's convenient to you i'd recommend using an Xbox 360 controller on a Windows 10 PC and stream your console to the PC using the Xbox app.

    One possible reason as to why you're encountering issues with connecting the controller while streaming using the Xbox app on Windows 10 is due to an outdated device driver. Other reasons are corrupted profile data and compatibility issues with the controllers
    and your Windows 10 PC.
