Xbox 360 controller help please

i have just bought a used 360 and any remote i connect the right joystick does nothing i press it and it will respond to the click but not move when you move in the direction. Now i have tried 4 other controllers and still same result. Whats going on to
make this happen and how do i fix it.

A xbox 360 wired controller will not work on pc? is this correct? do i have to purchase a special wired controller to use with my pc? any help is appreciated ... i would obviously like to use my existing 360 controller if this is possible please help me

Hey there ZonalDolphin6,

It sounds like there may be an issue with the console in this case. if using a brand new controller still causes this problem, then you'd want to try to exchange the console if possible.
