Xbox 360 controller does not turns on

what you should do is first turn off the Xbox 360. Then sync the controller if that does work good, but if it does not try going on Xbox 360 Wireless controller problems you can always change batteries if that's the proplem

If you're using brand new batteries, make sure there isn't any kind of corrosion on the battery contacts, no obstructions. If batteries were placed in the wrong direction, it could have damaged the unit, but then again, so many other things could have too:
moisture, being dropped, gamma ray bursts and cannonballs. If it's still under warranty (!) you'd be in luck.

Try the following:

Turn your Xbox 360 console off.

On your Xbox 360 controller, hold Y and RT.

With the right trigger and Y held down, press the controller's Xbox Guide button to turn on the console.

Does the TV now show the console's signal?

If not, can you try a different device (e.g. BluRay player, Set-Top-Box) on that HDMI cord? Does that work?

There is no driver to download or update for Xbox 360 controllers on Windows 10. You just plug them in.

Note: Xbox 360 wireless controllers can not be turned into wired controllers. A 360 play and charge cable can only charge a battery or power the controller if no battery is present, it does not send data.

• If you have a wired 360 controller just plug it in, no driver required
• If your controller is wireless, you need an Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver for Windows.

Try the following: Turn off the Xbox 360 console. With the console off, hold the Y and RT buttons on a controller, then press the Guide button on the controller to turn on the console, WHILE STILL HOLDING the Y and RT buttons.

Does the monitor now show an image?
