Xbox 360 Controller Disconnects Due To Motion

I do not understand why, but my Xbox 360 controller will disconnect when it vibrates or when it is shaken. It is very easily reproduced, because all I have to do is turn on the controller and shake it lightly, and it dies. The batteries are fine, I've tried
three pairs of batteries, all fresh Duracell batteries that I checked with a voltmeter, just to be sure. I've treated this console very well, but I will note that my friend had my controller for a while and he is less careful than I. I've tried whatever I
can without damaging the controller (I hope) to get this problem fixed (tape the battery pack, wedge out the metal tab in the battery pack, etc.). None of these things worked. (Also I only know that the vibration is a problem with my wireless controller, I
don't know about a wired connection.)

What I'd like to know is two things: 1, why is this happening? And 2, how can I fix it without buying a new controller?

Note: If the only fix is to replace the controller, how will I know that the replacement will not do the same?

    :)

OK, I'm sorry your having this problem, I experienced this myself not to lo g ago! This for me was cuaswed by a combination of two things! Controller age and dropping or misuse of the controller! I'll be the first one to admit how easy it is to drop or bang
it or for the dogs to get it! What was happening in my case is exact the same its the battery holder they batterys go in but if you look on the side with the white sticker and info oit has a silver tab in the middle, this contacts the tab in the middle of
the back of controller which is how the power is sent to the controller, if this has been damaged in any way pushed in to far or scratched or bamhed up its going to do this, I figured out a relatively quick fix for this!its not tape or wedging put the batterys
firmly down i n the holder without being to forcefull, then connect to controller make sure top of battery pack stays connected! Then when gaming hold up in air instead of resting controller on lap or table. And be sure you don't let it friends borrow it again
    lol ☺

It's most likely your battery pack getting loose. You'll want to make sure that the metal piece on the battery pack itself is in the right position, and that the pack doesn't move at all once it's locked into place on the controller. If it's still acting
up, it could be the batteries themselves. Depending on the mah that the battery has, your controller sometimes won't like the voltage it gives and freak out. I've had some trouble with some rechargeable energizer batteries before.

  6. Yea I agree! But rechargeable aa batteries aren't a good option to invest in unless it's for the short term, a play and charge kit would be wise because it was made for the controller and my rechargeable batteries I once used no longer hold a charge after
    four !months!

Play and charge kits are a waste of money. They have low quality rechargeable batteries inside, which last you less than a year. Save your money. Buy high mAh capacity batteries for your controller. The capacity is written on the side of batteries, so make
sure you look before purchasing. Anything over 2000 will last you a long time.
