    XBOX 360 Controller connecting to Windows 10 64-bit PC issues


    I have both Xbox Controller and receiver and When connected to my Windows 10 64-bit PC, the receiver flashes green light, and on Controller when I touch the button to pair them, the circle in quadrants in circular motion starts flashing for a while and soon
    stops that motion and just continues blinking (all quadrants altogether) ... and still I did not succeed in using the purchased device, please advise, help what to do next to be able to use the Controller on my PC ?

    xbox 360 wired controller doesnt detect on PC

    Hi, I bought an official xbox 360 wired controller to use on my PC. However my PC do not detect the controller. When I plug the controller into one of the 2.0 USB ports, the button in the middle lights up shortly and then nothing happens.

    If I search for it in joy.cpl or evices it doesnt show.

    I have tried installing the driver for windows 7 64-bit, although my PC in using windows 8.1 64-bit. So I tried running the driver in compability mode in windows 8, but nothing works.

    So how do I get my PC to detect the controller? I have tried all 2.0 and 3.0 USB ports, and even tried with a laptop, yet nothing connects.

    Are you still having trouble getting the controller working?

    To be sure everything is set up properly we suggest going through all of the steps on the

    How to Setup an Xbox 360 controller for Windows     guide.

    If that does not get things going, post back with some specs for your PC and whether you are using 32 bit or 64 bit Windows.

    Hi,

    Did you get this to work? When Microsoft first released the driver/s for the Xbox One controller they were available from a download page, this page has now been removed. The official way to download the drive is via Windows Update.
    If you have automatic updates on, when you connect the controller to a PC it should automatically download the required driver.

    If you're downloading the driver from some other website or link, be aware that there are two versions for Windows 7, a 32 bit and 64 bit. You need to download the version that fits your Windows Install. If your computer is new and has at least 8 GB of RAM,
    it will be the 64 bit version.

    Windows 10 already has drivers for all Xbox controllers built in to the OS, which is why the controller works straight away on Win 10 machines. The Windows 10 driver can not be used on Windows 7.
