    Xbox 360 controller compatability with Xbox One


    I was wondering what would be the best way to convince Microsoft to enable Xbox 360 controllers to work on X1. The one and only reason for me would be for using Xbox 360 fight sticks on Xbox one. Or at least an adapter that allows it. I get the marking
    for new hardware but why not let the old ones work as well.

    No. The Xbox 360 controllers use the Xinput API which is the same thing Xbox One controllers and other Xinput compatible controllers use.

    For Xinput compatible controllers from other manufacturers, Windows 10 will either see them as an Xbox 360 or an Xbox One controller, it depends on the age of the controller.

    Unfortunately, there is no way to do that.

    All Xbox One controllers are not designed to be played on the Xbox 360 console.

    If it is 360 games you want to play, there's always the
    growing list of backward compatible 360 games     on the Xbox One, from which you can use the Elite controller.
