Xbox 360 controller analog sticks seems 'pushed in'

Today I realized that my controller's analog sticks are oddly short. They were pushed in somehow. I pulled them back and everything seemed ok, but when I pressed one of them it got back inside pad. They are still fully working (pressing and 'dragging')
but that shortness make them uncomfortable.

Gave it a little shake. A powerful little shake and its normal once again

Xbox 360 Controller Isuue

My Xbox 360 controller has a slight problem which is rather annoying. The left analog stick doesn't respond to being pushed upward almost all the time. What it does it I push the analog stick up, and in game, the character moves at normal pace, walks very
slowly, or stops and walks and repeat itself. My warranty expired sadly and I'm not sure if this can be fixed at home, I'd rather not buy another controller at this moment.

Xbox 360 controller - Bring it back!

I find it a bit funny that people look back on the 360 controller so fondly. Sure I didn't have any that just stopped working completely but I did have 2 with broken mic jacks and a bunch with drifting analog sticks.

The early 360 white controllers were good but they cheeped out later on and produced junk analog sticks that would only last a few months before they would start drifting.

I'm fine with the X1 controller but the analog sticks seem to still be prone to drifting. They need to beef the analog sticks up but I don't see that happening it's a way for them to sell more controllers.

If it continues to malfunction then you will probably need to replace it. If it is under warranty you will need send it to
http://support.xbox.com/ for a repair/replacement but if not under warranty a replacement will probably be your less expensive and faster solution. Happy Gaming!

where can i register the xbox controller it wont accept the sn cuz its not a xbox 360 one?

Click the middle button (on the controller), and push left on the analog stick. There will be an option to redeem code towards the bottom. I hope I helped

Yeah im not sure if we just pushed too hard on the analog stick when we play though with our previously 360 controllers, we played with them for many years with no issues at all. Other than your normal wear and tear, the 360 controllers were rock solid.

What's weird in my case was the "second" controller which had the rough grind with the analog stick was hardly used as i was using my day one. It was only on the weekend when my mate came round for a few games of fifa that he noticed it.
