    Hi,

    Last year, I moved to France for a few months.
    So I changed the region of my Xbox Live account
    from Belgium to France without worry.

    During my time in France, I bought an Xbox
    one that was not yet out in Belgium.
    On my return to Belgium, I switched
    my Xbox One console in Belgium area without a care.

    But I just discovered restarting my xbox
    360 this week that it is always located
    in France with my French billing address
    ...So I can not recover my
    purchases made previously in Belgium
    and I can also no longer enjoy the free
    Xbox Live Gold games ,
    when buying I have an error message telling me that I'm not
    in the right area.

    Can you help me as I wish I could get back my
    Xbox games 360 at the launch of the
    Xbox 360 backwards compatibility on the Xbox
    One in October?

    Region issues

    in order to get region locked games your account region, console region, and physical region have to match. being that you got a France 360 but have a Brazil account and are in Brazil you will have issues downloading ANY region locked content sorry.

    Promotional Account Balance Concern

    Diferenct currency then your xbox one setting ?

    For example your account region is France but you have a UK or us account to gain access to us or UK English content on your xbox one

    Where your xbox one is console region dependent the xbox 360 region cannot be changed on the fly

    So if your promotional account balance is in France or Euro you wouldn't be able to use it until you change the console settings on your xbox one

    Or you are using an Canadian xbox live account but you use the us setting on xbox one the same thing applies

    Currency is region specific.

    Game type : 360 etc

    Account region (,country not continent)

    Actual region

    Xbox live region (found on yiur xbox.com settings)

    Console region

    And language region

    All of the above must match for 360 games

    So having English in france wont work for example

    Did you get it from the same region as your account ?

    For example France France not France German?

    Yes it matters as xbox regions are be country

    Not economic blocks

    You can check which region they are in at account.microsoft.com

    Now to use them you would to migrate to their region but with xbox 360 regions your account region MUST match your physical region so choosing q region you don't live in doesn't work and using the region migration tool isn't recommended for regions you don't live in

    Does your account region and console region match your actual region?.

    Also language needs to be the same so if you are in UK or France but set your region to us it won't work

    Xbox 360 games are affected by console and account settings.

    And usually causes 99.9% of download issues for 360

    To change the account region you must goto manage my account on this website and manage my region

    Consoleregion must also match and if you are selecting a non supported language in your region like English in France it won't work

    If you don't live in an xbox live region there is no fix

    If you are on an us foreign base you must use the host country as your region

    Region independence is only an xbox one or higher feature in games this does not negate the xbox 360 requirementz

    Does your accounr region and actual region and language and console regions match?

    With bo content it is MANDATORY

    So if you live in France and have UK English but France location it won't work

    For example

    Has to be France account French language France physical location and france console setting and French black ops disk or digital game and no there is no way around it

    In Denmark.only Dutch or German is supported etc

    Which means it falls under the marketplace rules

    Do you live in an xbox live region?

    For og and Xbox 360 games your account region and actual region and console region MUST match

    So if you have UK regiion France actual region and UK English or UK console region it won't work
