Xbox 360 console can't get started

I bought this one maybe 2 or 3 years ago (or maybe longer, I forgot the exact time) in Japan, and now I am using it in China. I had no problem with it previously and enjoyed several times with my friends and family. However, recently, I intended to play
again, and I found that the console didn't work, and there is a red light on, and it never turned to green. No matter how many times I repeated to re-start, it stayed in the same situation. Really puzzling, and I searched help from microsoft support, and got
the message saying my Xbox console is expired and can't be fixed. I really wonder what should I do now. Thanks!

Thank you for reaching out. A red light doesn't necessarily mean the console is "dead." In some cases, it is actually a simple fix. If you haven't already done so, check out our

Flashing Lights Solution. You will be given instructions on what to do depending on how many parts of the ring are red. Hope this helps!

Maybe humidity is the killer?

if you are talking about the red ring of death, I'm afraid there is nothing you can do but buy a new one.

I just started having the same issue. Every time I turn on the console, it freezes after the Xbox 360 splash screen with the spinning circles in the middle of the screen. I can't get to the dashboard or use the console at all.

I can't even log in to my profile on xbox 360 games. Its starting to sound like the whole console is having a big problem.
