Xbox 360 connected to Live but lags loading games..

The past few months I've noticed a slight decline in my loading my GTA online. It will randomly drop saying "connection lost due to unkown error" I thought maybe it was just too many people. However today, it worked fine playing Ghosts, then once I switched
to GTA, my connection began to drop again. Then my private chat began to drop repeatedly, and anytime I would load a session, I would just disconnect right away. After becoming annoyed, I tried Ghosts again, hoping it would work, and now my system just lags
anytime I start it up. On signing in, it takes probably 2 minutes spinning the loading symbol. Once I clicked the game, it stayed a black screen for about a minute before the game actually loaded the game. So it seems like my whole system is just running slow
and lagging now. Its an older model, the COD MW2 skin custom box. But I'm hoping theres another option before having to replace it.

Gears Of War 2 ......xbox freezes............

Hello Xbox,

Trying to play Gears Of War 2.

Xbox freezes while loading up game.

It only does this connected to Xbox Live.

No problem loading game disconnected from Live.

From main menu tried to connecting to Live.

Once connected, my xbox froze.

Sorry to hear about the lagging issues. Just to make sure that we have not missed any troubleshooting steps, I recommend trying a few to see if we can get this issue sorted.

Please give the following steps a try:

• Clear your Xbox 360 system cache 3 times.
  
• Power off your console.
• Power on your console and try to load a game to see if you are experiencing a lag or slow performance.
