    it wont read. wiped it with glasses cloth ring looks bad. an y tricks to make it work or can i download it? help

    Xbox scratching discs?

    Hi. I have an older Xbox 360 manufactured in 2006 and have had no disc drive problems, no red ring of death, and no overheating problems. Until now, I have realized that my NFS Hot Pursuit disc, my Halo Reach disc, and all 3 of my LA Noire discs have the ring
    shaped scratch. My console is always laid down flat and I have never bumped into it while it was on.

    Is there a solution to fix this?

    COD GHOSTS NOT COMPATIBLE

    COD GHOSTS has been made backwards compatible, I own the 360 Disc and have installed it on my 360, but can't play it on my ONE. Have put the 360 Disc in to my ONE and can't install it. Is there something i'm doing wrong? Thanks in advance

    You could try installing the disc or borrow a friends disc to install. After installed you will only need your disc in the tray in order for the game to play.

    If that doesn't work then you could try heading over to your local gaming store to see if they can resurface it.

    A final option would be to contact the developer and see if they have a disc exchange program. There would be a cost for this if they do.

    Other than that there's not much that can be done except to purchase a new copy. Also, if your console is standing on end then you should lay it flat to prevent this in the future.

    there exists special machines for repolish optical discs, try your local reseller, it is (almost) standard equipment of resellers

    I agree with your assessment. I ordered one from MS store online. I got the slip cover version. Worked great for titanfall but a week later I got COD Ghosts (disc version) and the system wouldn't read the disc. Just made 5 clicking noises when I tried
    to put the disc in. Took it back to the MS store, exchanged it, and luckily got a "black box" version, which has had no problems so far.

    Suggestion: Allow retailers to sell digital codes

    They already can do that, but digital only should be cheaper as no disc. My COD: Ghosts was a digital in a box, no disc and I got it for $49.96 US.
