    I am looking for a headset that does not connect to the controller but will still allow you to chat. Everything I find wants you to plug into the controller but I am using a ps3 controller and cannot do that. I want more than just chat or I would just buy
    the xbox earbud. can anyone help me out?

    Anyone know if the option for party chat can come through tv speakers and headset?...The 360 has this option which I use all the time.

    If you're asking about wireless chat, it is not possible. The Warhead is the only 3rd party headset licensed to use the Xbox 360's wireless chat headset protocol; the Xbox One has different chat connections (and I don't think there are any wireless
    options yet).

    sorry my original post isnt very clear...its an xbox 360 console asking about a headset for it that doesn't require connecting to the controller but thanks for your help.

    Using a PS3 controller on the Xbox 360 is actually a violation of the Terms of Usage agreement. Due to that fact you will find no help here, sorry.

    Sorry, but what you are asking is not possible with a wired headset - all wired chat mics go through the controller. However if you were to get one of the Xbox 360 Wireless Headsets or a Kinect then you would be set.

    There are currently no bluetooth headsets available for Xbox One. There are a number of wireless headset options on the market though. The Xbox 360 Wireless chat headset would not work with it.
