xbox 360 change microsoft account option not working?

I am trying to change my xbox account over from one microsoft account to another using the option provided on the 360. It lets me put in the microsoft account that I want to change it over to but then it just gives me an error every time. Is this option
down right now or is it no longer working?

    :)

    This worked for me:

In a web browser go to https://www.xbox.com

Sign into your account. Click on your profile avatar. Select Xbox Settings options.

After that there is an option for 'Change 360 account region'.

Assigning Gamertag to different Email Address

    Hey Kind

Thank you for taking the time to reply to this thread.

When you thinking of changing the email [alias] of your account, this merely changes the way that you sign in to your account. You will receive notifications of purchases and such to the new alias, but the original email associated with your account is still
    independent.

If there was an option on the Xbox 360 to change the Microsoft account that is linked with your Xbox Profile, that is no longer an option, however, it is likely that it worked the same way that changing how you sign in to your Microsoft account [changing
    your alias].

As far as changing your display name on your Forums profile, this can be done by going into your profile and on the left-hand side you can see the option to
Edit profile. You can then change your Display Name.

I hope this is of some use to you.

    Xbox Live Account Hacked?

Hey EXLEX, that feature is for 360 consoles only. It won't work on the Xbox One. The OP's best option here would be to change the email and/or password of the account.

How is my currency of choice on the 360 different from my Series S?

    Hey there!

Nice to meet you! I'm Darhyl, a fellow gamer. I'm sorry you are experiencing this. I am here to help.

Kindly try to confirm if your Xbox Live account region is in US or UK by signing your account on account.xbox.com > click on your gamer picture > click on the ellipsis symbol (...) > Xbox settings > then Change Xbox 360 region. From there, check which region is set on your account but please do NOT change your account region yet since it will take 90 days in order to change your account region again.

If you have confirmed your account region is in the UK, try to change your region on your Xbox 360 console, here's how:

To change the region on Xbox 360, follow the steps given below:

First sign in by entering the email address and password of your Microsoft account.

Next, you will have to add the credit card and enter the new billing address of the new region.

Now, open the Settings option on your console and then select the System option.

Open the Console Settings and then select the Language and Locale option.

Finally, select the Locale option and then select the locale.

Then try to purchase on Xbox 360 marketplace again to see if the region change works.

If you have confirmed that your Xbox live region is in US, in order to have your Xbox series S region aligned with your Xbox live account, you can change the console region, here's how:

To change the region on Xbox series, follow the steps given below:

First, you will have to sign in to the Xbox one console.

Next, press the Xbox It will open the guide.

Select the System option and then select the settings option.

Then, select the System option and open the Language & location option.

Finally, select the new region from the given list and select the Restart now option.
