    xbox 360 - can't connect Disney Infinity game pad


    We just purchased an xbox 360 for our kids for Christmas, and my mom purchased Disney Infinity 3.0 for them. The console works great for playing games from discs. However, we cannot get the Disney Infinity game pad to connect to the console. We have tried
    all four USB ports in the console. We also borrowed a working pad from my brother and could not get that to connect to the console. When I plugged my phone into the USB port, however, it started charging, so it appears as though the ports work. The game disc
    works in our console, but we are only given the option of one player with Anniken as the only option. Nothing on the pad lights up when it is plugged into the console. Thanks!

    Yes, it just has to be the same system.

    I bought Disney 2.0 base and it works fine with the digital download of 3.0.

    The reason 3.0 is available digitally and 2.0 wasn't

    Lack of information in the Disney Infinity 2.0 game

    It clearly states in the game description on the Microsoft Xbox 360 game page that a Disney Infinity base and figures are required to play the game.

    i'm sorry I can't be done as it requires the Xbox 360 Disney Infiniti pad which is not compatible with Xbox one.

    No games that require an accessory were ever made backwards compatible because they won't work

    Disney Infinity – Disc Troubleshooting

    If your game disc isn't working, please try the following:

    1. Ensure that the game disc and console match. For instance, if the game disc is designed for an Xbox 360, it can only be used in that console.
    2. Ensure that your console is updated. If you are connected to the internet, the console will update automatically. If not, check for updates. Please refer to the console's manual or support site for more information: Xbox support, PlayStation support, or
      Nintendo support.
    3. Check the disc – is it physically damaged? Does it have any scratches or rings?
    4. Do you see an error message? If so, try cleaning the disc. Again, please refer to the console's manual or support sites above for more information.
    5. Try clearing the cache on your console.
    Please note that we no longer have an inventory of Disney Infinity game discs, so we are unable to assist with exchanges.

    I got mine to work. I basically had to start over. I disconnected the based and removed the disc. I erased all of the Disney files from the cache. I started the system again without the disc in. When it got to the home screen, I put the disc in. After
    it loaded and then waited until it asked me to connect the base. The base must be plugged into one of the front USB ports (after 2-3 calls, I finally got someone from XBOX that knew what he was talking about). It ended up working. Hope this helps!

    Tried all 3 USB ports, with and without the skylanders pad plugged in (no problems with that pad). It looks look like I will need to pack it pack up and bring it back. Thanks for the suggestions!

    Wow, that's unfortunate. Have you tried plugging the pad into a different USB port? There are the 2 on the front and a couple more in the back of the Xbox 360 Slim console.

    If the pad still does not work, I would suggest taking it back to the store for an exchange if it was a Christmas present.
