Xbox 360 cannot read disc after saving my game to a usb flash drive

Sorry for the confusion I was typing this on my phone. The PNY 32GB flash drive was already formatted to a Xbox 360 S and I had transferred saves onto it. After transferring the saves I ensured that the Xbox could read the saves back from the USB drive by
loading saves from it rather than the hard drive. After getting my new xbox I tried to plug in the USB drive and it is asking me to reconfigure the USB drive again. Are all of my saves gone and if so why was it able to read from the USB drive to begin with
if it was not working?

it should work fine with a USB drive. only a small few require the internal hard drive.

You can use just about any USB flash drive with the Xbox 360 and they can store installed game data, game saves, and DLC for basically any Xbox 360 game. Both of these USB flash drives use USB 3.0 and they also are compatible with the USB 2.0 standard that
the Xbox 360 uses. The read/write speed for both flash drives will meet the Xbox 360 recommendations so yes, either one will do.

The USB could be causing the issue. Have you run through the troubleshooter
here to see if it helps with what you're seeing?

Maybe there is somthing wrong with that usb drive you used there.
