Xbox 360 cannot connect to Live. 2 weeks now. HELP!

Please help!

I am tearing my hair out over this. I have an Xbox 360. I use it for some gaming but the main use is to stream Netflix on my wireless network, which I watch on a daily basis. I have no other tv because I don't need anything more. The connection to Xbox live
has never been an issue and I have had it in place for more than 2 years. 2 weeks ago I lost my connection to LIVE. I logged on like normal and I had no connection to LIVE. All of my apps on the console are black.I restarted my router and console. Nothing.
i tried this for a few days. No change. Also, nothing had changed in my home! Nothing was moved, touched changed in any way!

I called Microsoft support and went through the process of a hard system reset, clearing the cache on Xbox three times, resetting the settings to factory default, testing the connection to Xbox live after each step and restarting the router and console between
each step. One tech had me delete my profile, which was stupid because I can't re download it until my connection to LIVE is restored. Nothing! I did this process with 3 different support agents! Meanwhile, my internet services are fine. My PC connects to
the Internet perfectly. My iPhone connects wirelessly with no issues. The Xbox live test shows my console recognizing the wireless network, connecting to the Internet......but from the connection to the Internet and Xbox LIVE, it fails every time!

After HOURS of Microsoft support help, they determined that it must be the fault of my wireless router and that there was a port forwarding issue. I have ATT Uverse. A PACE 5031NV modem/router. I was told I needed to call ATT support and have them open the
4 ports that were emailed to me, in a link, from Microsoft (listed on this support site.)

What followed next was another round of HOURS of speaking with 3 ATT support technicians. After a long, very drawn out process (in which I had to call back to Microsoft support again and speak to ANOTHER Microsoft tech,) they finally opened the 4 ports as
I suggested. I tested again. Nothing. I unplugged the modem and reset it and the Xbox. Retested. Still nothing. I called back Microsoft AGAIN. Went through every single troubleshooting step AGAIN. STILL NOTHING.

The only other option I hadn't tried yet was plugging in an Ethernet cable directly from my xbox to the modem. I couldn't rule out that the wireless card in the Xbox hadn't gone kaput without plugging in directly. I just didn't have a cord long enough to
reach. Well, I just went out and bought an Ethernet cable. I plugged it in. Tested The connection. Test failed. Same spot (going from the Internet to Xbox LIVE.) So, I reset the modem and console. Tested again. Failed. I went to Network settings and reset
to factory default. Reset the modem and console again. Retested. Nothing. Seriously crying. Can ANYONE HELP? Please?!?! I just don't understand what else I should try.

Have to keep restarting router to solve MTU problems (Belkin router)

All sorted now - followed the weblink from Shad0wmanUK and for about a week now things seem to be working on Xbox Live and my 360 connects no problems. Thanks to everyone who suggested help!

 

Cannot Download XBOX Live Profile.. 2 months now

Hi.

I have been trying to download my XBOX live profile for almost 2 months now. I spoke with someone last week about it, and they said it may be caused by an outage in my area.

Now its almost 2 weeks later and I am still getting:

XBOX LIVE PROFILES CANNOT BE DOWNLOADED RIGHT NOW. TRY AGAIN LATER
