Xbox 360 booting off all wireless connections?

I have an Actiontec GR784WN modem and AT&T DSL. I used to use the 360 (via a wired connection to my old 2wire modem) for Netflix and gaming all the time without issue, but since upgrading my modem, I have had nothing but trouble! I have connected it via
an ethernet port as always, but now it won't allow my laptops connected through WiFi to access the internet! I will receive 400 Bad Request errors routinely until the Xbox is disconnected.

The one computer connected through an ethernet cable still loads fine.

I have contacted Actiontec about this and they said it was a console problem rather than a problem with the modem or internet and to contact Microsoft.

Does anyone know of a fix for this? They suggested renewing/releasing the MAC address on the 360 since it's sending out DNS kill signals for some reason. I'm not entirely sure how to do this. Any hep at all would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Console freezes at splash screen

You've tried removing all storage and USB devices (HDD, wireless adapter, controller P&C cables, etc), then booting the console?

Xbox live disconnects while streaming netflix

I just tried all that and I'm still getting logged out of xbox live. Our tv, laptops, and phones can all stream netflix perfectly. It's only the xbox continually booting me off.

Please keep in mind, that Xbox 360 is widely used console, with many modems and routers across the world and only this model after upgrade, that You have suffer from some issues with compatibility with it. So no, this not Xbox 360, it's software bug in modem
and only Actiontec can fix this issue.

I agree that the source of the issue is the Seagate 1TB drive. The drive works fine with the Xbox 360 except for the first boot. That's what I'm confused about; the drive works fine when plugged in after the Xbox 360 boots up. What's even weirder is I
can leave the drive connected, turn the Xbox 360 on, and when the screen freezes, leave the drive connected but turn the Xbox 360 off and back on immediately and the Xbox 360 will boot up.

If the drive didn't work with the Xbox 360 at all, I wouldn't even be here. But it is only having issues on the first boot. This doesn't make sense to me. If the Xbox 360 recognizes the drive under every other condition, what is causing the issue with
the first boot?

Turn off and disconnect all controllers from the Xbox 360 and disconnect the wireless headsets from the controllers.

Connect the wireless headset to the Xbox 360 using the USB cable. Turn on the wireless headset.

Sync the headset to quadrant 1 by pressing the "Connect" button on the on the Xbox 360. Then press the "Connect" button on the wireless headset for two seconds. Do not continue to press the "Connect" button on the wireless headset, as this will change the
quadrant to which it is connected. If the headset now works without the controllers attached, the problem must be with one of your controllers. If the headset still does not work, then the problem is with the headset.

this has been an ongoing issue at my house also 2 xbox 360 consoles running wireless one connects then try other either it wont connect or it will boot other offline then 3rd xbox 360 in house wired no issues at all plus my pc's are always conected and
at full speed one wired one wireless so its not my network this issue has only been present for a few weeks

A good all around way to reset -

Restore to factory settings from network settigns > Configure network > additional settings.

Turn off xbox.

Turn off router (if you have a separate one)

Turn off modem.

Wait 30 seconds to 2 minutes.

Boot up modem only ( must boot fully).

Boot up router all the way (if you have one).

Turn on xbox.

You will need to manually reconnect if you have a wireless connection. Should automatically connect on a wired.
