  1. Xbox 360 Blurry When AV Plugged In

Alright, So I got a new headset today, which requires the COMPONENT cables.. (RED, WHITE, YELLOW)

Before I bought it my xbox was hooked up to my TV with a HDMI cable, I don't know if this changes anything at all, but I wanted to know if there is an answer

If you wanted to know what my tv is I don't know the model but its a Samsung Flatscreen 27" TV

So basically what happened after I plugged in the AV my TV went blurry and the dash board etc, I tried all troubleshooting like re-setting it by holding y and right trigger, and the video options in the system settings.

If any of you can help me out, would be greatly appreciatedXbox 360 Blurry When AV Plugged In :D

Component HD AV lead and Panasonic Viera SMART TV issues

I have an old XBOX 360 Arcade which has served me well. I purchased FIFA 15 which will only play on PAL 60, not PAL 50. On PAL 60, my TV is blurry but playable (barely).

I purchased the official component HD AV lead and plugged everything in as instructed. However, my picture is now just black/grey fuzz.

Anyone any ideas how to resolve without buying a new XBOX?

My TV is very new. I had no issues when playing FIFA 14 and feel like l have wasted £40 on a game and another £10 on a lead.

    Thanks.

    Chris

If you're using the old standard cable that came with the Xbox 360 then make sure it's switched off HDTV if you're only using the red, white and yellow. Also adjust your display settings on the console to match as it doesn't sound like your TV is HD 1080p,
    steps on adjusting them here:
    support.xbox.com/.../adjust-display-settings

Also the picture would be different going from HMDI to AV as it's a completely different format, though it shouldn't be too grainy if you've got the console settings right.

    Hi there,

When using the AV cabels the resolution will go back to Single Definition which depending on the type is either 576i, or 480i. COnsidering that HD is up to 1080 this is a huge difference.

So this would result in the image to be a lot more blurry since the resolution is a few times smaller.

For example text onscreen will become more blurry in SD compared to HD

Just to correct you there, what you have is a COMPOSITE cable - Component cable would have red, green and blue outputs in addition to the two audio channels (red & white). You will probably also need to change the video output settings on the console down
to standard definition as the others above me have stated. The picture won't be as crisp as it was using HDMI as composite it the lowest resolution and quality of signal put out by the 360. S-Video would be a step up from that yet still be standard definition.
Component and VGA cables would output in HD on the 360.

Maybe some clarification is needed after rereading your post. Are you still connected to your TV using HDMI while plugging in the AV cable (just using the red and white outputs for sound)? Or are you plugging in the Composite cable you have into the Component
ports on the TV? Also which model of 360 of you have - original(fat), S, or E models? Get back with these answers and I would have a better idea as to what the problem is and a solution to it.

Connecting Xbox 360 Elite to PC Monitor (Black Screen)

1 - I've got 3 monitors at home and they are all the same model, and they aren't able to display my Xbox 360's images.

2 - I'm using a cable that's HDMI on one side and DVI on the other. According to the vendor I've bought it from, it works fine for connecting the Xbox 360 to any monitor (apparently he's already tried it out).

3 - Yesterday I've bought a cable that's AV on one side (for the Xbox) and VGA + an Audio output on the other. I've tried it out and it works just fine. Yet, the image seems just a bit blurry and, from what I've been told, VGA has a lower quality output
than HDMI/DVI so this is to be expected.

I've also learned how to plug both AV and HDMI cables in my Xbox at a time. Every time I've got ONLY the VGA cable connected to the Xbox, I can see the images on my Monitor/TV. Whenever I plug the HDMI cable to the Xbox (w/ the AV cable plugged), the image
on my Monitor/TV disappears. It seems as if the Xbox is prioritizing the HDMI video output over the AV one.

So, I was wondering, is there any way I could plug the AV cable to my TV and the HDMI cable to my Monitor while at least one of them displays an image? That way, I could turn on the TV and alter the display options in the Xbox for my monitor till it works.

THANKS A LOT FOR ANSWERING Mister Cerb!

Getting surround sound to work with xbox 360e

Make sure the AV plug is fully inserted on the Xbox 360 E. A loose connection can cause only one channel to come through.

    .

Also, are you using the AV cable that was included with the Xbox 360 E for sound, or a separately bought, audio only cable?
