Xbox 360 Banned from previous owner!!!

Hello, I recently purchased a new Xbox 360 from an individual offline in a classifieds group, and when I picked it up from him he told me there were no issues and when I got it home to try to connect online it is saying that my console is banned from the
online network. is there anyway to get this block off please Help!!! I Have already spoken with Aliah G. and she stated she has noted everything on your end. The whole reason I purchased this Xbox 360 was to get online so please HELP ME! THANK YOU!!!!!!

If the previous owner has been banned from certain online games, would this affect the new owner? As I understand such bans are for the whole console, so that the banned person cannot just re-enter the game using another sign in and email.

And so, if such bans were for the whole console, rather than single user, then it would no doubt affect the new owner.

Microsoft
does not unban consoles, especially if they were purchased second-hand. Console bans are permanent and irreversible.

You will want to get your money back from the person who sold it to you, because you were ripped off.

Never buy a used 360.You never know if it was tampered with by the previous owner and banned from live and thats why it was sold to begin with.

forums.xbox.com/.../default.aspx Forum 16 is for banned consoles, you can try doing what phone support said there. My guess is all they will tell you is why it was
banned. Like Jameser78 said console bans are not known to be lifted, if buying used consoles you should get them from somewhere you can return them or from someone you know that way you know of issues with the console.

If the xbox is banned, then it wont be playable online.

Bans are not lifted. The console itself may have illegal modifications done to it.

It's reasons like this that you should never ever buy a used console.

Never buy a "Used" Xbox 360 console from anywhere (Ebay,Gamestop, or other stores that sell used consoles) becuase you do not know what the previous owner did. You dont know if the console has been tampered with or the activity on the console. Heck the previous
owner could have been console banned and thats the reason the previous owner decided to get rid of it. So what if the used console is cheaper... It will save you ALOT of money in the long run if you buy a BRAND NEW console out of the box NEVER opened.
