Correct, Dark Souls is part of the xbox 360 backward compatibility list. If you purchase the game from the 360 xbox marketplace link, you will find the title in the games and apps section of xbox one "ready to install"

Even though it looks like a nice list, I was hoping for skyrim and red dead redemption.

 

Not sure about that. I was under the impression that the Forza games were not going to be BC. Mostly because the license agreements with the auto company's. It also lists Madden NFL 16. Why would that need to be BC?

 

The one game I want isn't listed but at least there's a lot of new games coming at same time like fallout 4 and tomb raider

 

Civ Rev and Halo Wars will keep me happy if true.

Not a bad list.. but as a CoD fan I am kind of disappointed that not even ONE made the last. Yet most of the Halo's did and Call of Juarez did.

 

Killer is Dead is the only thing I would be interested in because I never finished it on 360....but the thing is...If I wanted to play my 360 games I would just turn on my *** 360. This entire Backwards compatibility thing is two years too late. People wanted
backwards compatibility when the Xbox One first came out because there were not may games to play. Now with tons of games to play it doesn't make an sense. It is pointless, the X1 is not going to magically makes these 360 games better.

 

@ Rvhk, I can see your point but I don't own a 360 anymore, the main reason I'm interested is because there are certain genre's of games that are not really supported yet on the X1, such as the two games I've listed above. It'll be nice to chill out to a
game of Civ Rev again.

 

I suspect we're unlikely to see anything that currently has a port of some kind. Games like the Borderlands Pre Sequel and State of Decay would be examples. Why make it free when they can sell it in a new form.

Todd Howard dropped a vague (the interpretation was probably more wishful thinking, TBH) hint a couple of days ago that Skyrim may end up on new consoles in some format, but left no indication of whether it would be BC or a new edition.

I was pleased to see Dark Souls 1 on that list as well.

 

Ninja, Gaiden, 3..... NINJA GAIDEN 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!? Not even Razors Edge?

I hope this list isn't accurate, that is the worse Ninja Gaiden out of all of them and has the lowest votes, how would that even make sense? That will be the biggest troll move if that is the case, hopefully that's a typo, I would honestly rather no ninja

@RagingCanadian - It's been known for a long time that activision isn't supporting it, it should be no surprise there is no CoD titles available through BC.
