xbox 360 and xbox one stolen from my house

My house was broken into 2/16/2017 and I lost an xbox1 and xbox 360 in the theft.

I don't know the serial number to the 360 that is linked with user COYNEDOGG? maybe you do?

I have the serial number for the xbox one and gave that to the police. I was wondering if it was possible to trace the network card when it logs into your network? If so, what are the steps necessary to get the IP address of the person who uses either
box? Do I need to have the police get a warrant? or would providing the receipt information, and police report information, be good enough?

My xbox 360 was stolen from our house. Is there anyway to track the unit if someone tries using it?

 

A question for XBL security

I have a friend whose xbox one was stolen from his house. I went online to play and noticed that the person that stolen the Xbox one is playing on my friends account. Is there a way to track down the theif so my friend can get his xbox one back?

 

Sorry to hear it. Only the police can get the tracking info for the console via a subpoena. You'll need to keep on top of them to do that.

As for the serial for the 360, if you registered it the serial for the console should be listed at this link http://devicesupport.microsoft.com/

 

Is there a specific address, or person, they should use to contact Microsoft? I will give it to the investigating deputy.
