Xbox 360 and xbox one save games

HI All

this is a little long winded but please bear with me.

My brother gave me his old Xbox360 and i started playing borderlands 1,2 & TPS, now I find all all my saves are on my brothers account and I can't get to them to transfer them to my new Xbox One, I can still use them on the Xbox 360, I know it was my brothers
account, and now I have my own.

I know my brother and I were sharing an account, because he has a Xbox One as well, But now we can only have one Xbox One online at any one time.

So my major question is how do I get to my saves on his account? or is this a no-no?

If you buy the same game for both the xbox 360 and xbox one,do you have to play the game twice or can you transfer saves?

hi

my son has been playing minecraft, saint row, far cry 4 etc in Xbox 360. is it possible to transfer the games to xbox one? minecraft is an online purchase. rest all the discs we bought from Game.

he doesnt want to upgrade to xbox one but ofcourse we are missing out the new features of xbox one and xbox 360 is getting out dated fast and would value for nothing soon.. ihave few consoles left like that and lying in the garage.. (ps2, xbox, psp etc)..

any advice on transferring the games would be helpful for me to decide on xbox one..

Turn on cloud saving in the 360 menu so when you get a One his saves will be there for backwards comparability.

I guess you then need to play each game so the game saves go to cloud?

Then take the whole lot down to CEX or eBay and get a One for Xmas!

You won't need or want the old machine, well I didn't.

Get game sharing and foreign store purchasing and don't look back.

You would still have to use his account (although it is a violation of the code of conduct to share accounts). Saves cannot be transferred between accounts.

Be aware that the saving for Xbox 360 backwards compatible games on the Xbox One is a bit more complicated than saving on an original Xbox 360, or game saves for actual Xbox One games.

The Xbox 360 games have no idea of the Xbox One's concept of "suspending" games and multitasking.

So if you are done playing a Xbox 360 game, you HAVE TO make sure to properly quit the game by going to the Home Screen, and pressing the Menu button on the main game tile.

There choose to Quit the Xbox 360 game.

Only then the game will properly write the save file and is ready to be synchronized and uploaded to the cloud.

Also: NAT as well as Gold memberships don't affect saving on the Xbox One. You only need Gold to use the cloud save on a real Xbox 360 console.

if the save game is correctly saved on Xbox Live via cloud storage and the 360 game is supported via Backwards compatibility on Xbox One and you are using the same account on Xbox One as on the Xbox 360 then the save game should be available.

The original Xbox games saves cannot be transferred. You will have to start those games again on the Xbox One if you want to play them. As for the Xbox 360 game saves, they can be saved to the cloud using the xbox 360, and they automatically transfer over
when you play a 360 game on the One. All saves on the Xbox One are stored on the cloud, and on the Xbox One. You can find the saves for each game by highlighting your game on my games and apps, press the menu button on controller and select manage game, and
from there you can find your saves.

I just tried on several games both quitting from Xbox One menu and 360 Guide Menu (Leave game) with no success. Save games are still in upload pending status.
