Xbox 360 account not in use anymore.

So I've been trying to get a specific GT that is taken. I was curios on who owned it and turns out it is owned by a old Xbox 360 account. I know for a fact this account is no longer used because they only have a few achievements fro Xbox one games. when
i say few i mean two or three. I feel like accounts that haven't been used in that large amount of time should be able to have there GT used for someone else.

As of August 30, 2019, if a person does not sign into their Microsoft account for 2 years, the account will be closed which should free up the gamertag. Keep in mind that even if they are not using their account on an Xbox, they may be using it on another
Microsoft service. The gamertag system was also updated so you can use a gamertag even if it is already in use. https://support.xbox.com/help/account-profile/profile/gamertag-update-faq

Hi, I do have xbox live on my xbox one s account but I don't on my old xbox 360 accounts as I don't use them anymore.

if youre attempting to create the account directly on the 360, its not possible anymore. Please create the account at www.xbox.com and then download the profile to your console using the steps outlined here https://support.xbox.com/en-US/my-account/manage-gamertag-and-profile/add-remove-profile-xbox-360

Now it says that i can’t even log in to my account on xbox 360 anymore

Just download your account in a xbox 360 console (be that a friend's at your local gamespot etc) after that remove your account from the 360 and you will not have issues anymore with bc games at your xbox one.
