Xbox won't let me make a new profile or delete anything

My Xbox 360 S isn't letting me delete anything, update Xbox Live, or even make a new profile. It won't let me save anything because I cant update it. I just bought it used. All it has is the 4gb hard drive built in. What can I do to fix it?

Not Enough storage??

I just got the xbox 360. It came with 2 free games to download. It won't let me download the second game, saying there is not enough storage space? How can that be?

A: get a flash drive set up for use on a 360 you can have up to a 32 gig per slot and you can have 2 of them giving you up to 64 gig of storage (note you cannot split up a download between 2 drives)

B: get a hard drive but make sure it is an official MS branded one avoid cheap knock off models.

I would suggest getting an official Xbox Hard Drive (one of the options mentioned by davemcfly). You have the choice of 250, 320 or 500GB for storage. This will enable you to have lots of space for games in the future. With it being Black Friday in the
States you should be able to find some great deals (if you live in the States).

If you have an Xbox 360 with a 4GB Memory unit, what usually happens is that 4GB MU Fails losing the system update. And it tries to download the update but can't because the MU does not work any longer.

There hasn't been an update for the 360 in quite some time and its not an update that was pushed out to kill your Xbox. The 360 console with the 4GB MU will just fail after a period of time.
