Xbox 360 4 GB-Xbox Live update issue

    Xbox 360 4 GB-Xbox Live update issue


    I am getting the error "Can't download the update. To test your connection, open System Settings and select Network Settings, Test Live Connection.

    Status Code: 417F-0000-0080-0300-8007-0070

    I cannot run any games in Kinect because I cannot connect to XBox Live and everytime it prompts me for update and whenever I try update get the above error.

    I have tried formatting the hard drive, cleaning system cache, cleaning xbox updates, trying to install from a USB drive, etc.

    Has anyone been able to fix this error or have other suggestions of things to try??

    Hey Demented,

    Sorry to hear you are having issues - There are other ways to install updates to the Xbox 360 such as from a CD or a USB stick.

    You can find the numerous ways to update the xbox 360 located on the following link

    Hi,

    Sorry about that issue but it sound like your HDD is faulty...

    Please remove it and try the offline method to update your Xbox (
    https://beta.support.xbox.com/help/xbox-360/console/system-updates-info     you will get at least 4 Gb of internal memory without the HDD ). So if its working buy a new Xbox 360 hdd, if not it s probably the console itself...
