Xbox 360/360 games running on my xbox one(s) disconnection error

I can't clear the MAC address on the 360. Those troubleshooting steps did nothing for me. Again this is for my account only/xbox 360 connection. The network is not the problem because it does not affect my Fiance's account. The problem all started on a 360, in fact it's been doing it on my 360 for a looooooong time. The only reason i didnt address it when it occured on the 360 is because its a POS that i only used for very basic offline gaming due to it's overheating and my lack of being able to fix whatever the heck is wrong with it. It just started affecting my WHOLE ACCOUNT 2-4 day ago(when trying to troubleshoot a different account problem through the 360 because it actually let me sign in and stay connected until i got to the downloads list and then it started disconnect looping me again) so now i can't play any of my 360 games online even though im online on my Xbox One S!!!

The same goes for 360 games on the 360 i can play my digital purchases but i can't play multiplayer or download anything new because i'm instantly disconnected from xbox live the moment i attempt to connect to xbox live. Its very frustrating.

I can play the 360 games but as soon as i attempt to access the multiplayer portion of a 360 game on xbox one, i am told i need to connect to xbox live. Even though i am.

Hello There ! I highly recommend following the steps bellow to troubleshoot the issue

I would like you to go through the following steps to clear the Mac address and then perform a quick power cycle on your console:

Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate Mac Address > Clear it and the console should restart. It would definitely help if you could restart the internet router while the console is restarting.

After going through the troubleshooting steps mentioned, I invite you to perform a quick power cycle by turning off the console and then unplugging all the cables. After 2 to 3 minutes, re-plug them back again, then restart your console.

Another thing you should check is your NAT type. I would like you to check your NAT type if open because that could sometimes interfere. to check for the NAT type you can follow the steps below:

Settings > Network Settings > NAT type => It should be open.

If the NAT type is not open, you will need to open some ports with your internet provider. These ports must be open for Xbox Live to work: Port 88 (UDP) Port 3074 (UDP and TCP) Port 53 (UDP and TCP) Port 80 (TCP) Port 500 (UDP) Port 3544 (UDP) Port 4500 (UDP).

In case the issue still persists, the next step would be to perform a reset on the console. To do so you will need to follow the steps below to perform a reset on the Xbox :

Settings > System > Console Info > Reset This Xbox > Reset and Keep my Games and Apps.

Where did the Xbox 360 games come from? Another Xbox 360?

If they were downloaded via an Xbox One/Series console you can't play these games on an Xbox 360. Firstly the drive wouldn't be configured for an Xbox 360. Secondly, Xbox 360 games downloaded via an Xbox One or Series X|S are actually 360 games that have been converted to run on an Xbox One, they are no longer native Xbox 360 games.
