Xbox 360 250gb shut down

Recently I have been seeing a weird problem, while using my xbox it's being shutt off on it's own. It was normall in last few months but recently this problem has been shown up. It's keeps shutting down regularly on short intervals of 5mints 10 mints etc
etc lesser or more

Xbox 360 250gb slim (all black xbox) shuts down on its own

My xbox 360 250gb shuts down on its own. This problem started today. While I am watching a show or just on dashboard, the xbox just shuts down on its own couple of minutes after startup. When the xbox had shut down on its own, I noticed that there
is a red light on the big grey box, which I do not know what that means, but no light surrounding the power touch. Please help.

over heat? make sure on hard surface (not carpet) . not ontop of any other electronics and nothing ontop of the xbox. and no intercooler. blow out the vents on the console and see if that works

 

Could be your exstractor fan o would suggest either send it to Microsoft if its in warrenty or take your xbox apart and replace the fan unit (not to hard to get hold of)
