    title says it all, i need a headset adapter for the 360 controller that i can use the turtlebeach z300 headset with, also do i need one with a mic switch so i can use the microphone?

    Do I need a Xbox one stereo headset adapter

    I have a pair of turtle beach x42's for my Xbox 360 and was wondering if I need a Xbox one stereo headset adapter or if I could just get a 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter and plug that straight into my controler?

    Will xp500s work with Xbox one now?

    The turtle beach is 2.5mm and so are both ends of the talkback cable, the adapter is 3.5mm but it comes with a 3.5mm to a 2.5mm adapter cable.

    Should work fine with the adapter as long as you have a talkback cable, available for £9 in most shops.

    I know mine work perfectly with it.

    Can't find a 2.5mm to 2.5mm

    The Turtle Beach website got them for 5.99$ I ordered a couple it was 8 bucks for shipping , Fed Ex took 2 days. The only other thing you could do is go to Radio Shack and buy two 3.5mm to 2.5mm adapters and use a 3.5mm cable but that will cost more.

    No, your turtle beaches will still work with the xbox one, you just need an audio jack adapter. The xbox one stereo headset adapter includes a 2.5mm to 3.5mm audio jack adapter, so at the very most you would have to purchase that. Im currently using my px22s
    hooked up through my dss2 on my xbox one and the sound quality is great.

    Are you talking about Turtle Beach headsets for Xbox 360 controllers?

    Well, the Xbox 360 controller has a 2.5mm headset port, whereas the Xbox One controller has a
    3.5mm headset port, so the existing headset you've used for your Xbox 360 won't be compatible with Xbox One (right off the bat).

    Your headset would still work on Xbox One with a 2.5mm-to-3.5mm adapter.
