    Xbox 360 1080p problem


    I have my Xbox 360 slim hooked up to my Asus VE258Q via HDMI and when I output the optimal resolution which is 1080p, the screen has this flickering/shivering affect where it looks like like all the pixels are moving. It is most noticeable on greys.
    When I output in 720p the screen is fine and this problem goes away. I dont know if it is a scaling issue or what but it is very annoying. Any ideas?

    Which display resolution setting on the Xbox One

    So to clarify do you have your 360 set to 720p or 1080p?

    Worst Console War Ever !

    Cotton when has MS given us problem free 1080p gaming on the 360 there isn't a 1080p native game currently out for the 360

    Can't get 1080p out of my xbox one

    I'm having the same problem with my tv. Except my Xbox 360 is running at 1080p but my Xbox one will not I don't know why???

    @ZWR63, I hate to break it to you but you were had by Microsoft, the very first Xbox's 360s were able to do 720p,/1080p 99.9% of games are only 720p. The xbox 360s (slim) on the shelf right now still only do 720p in 99.9% of games and are for the most part
    incapable of doing 1080p. Really all it did was fix the RRoD problem.

    Seriously, game with 720p unless your native 1080p content...

    There is literally NO POINT AT ALL in using 1080i/1080p on the Xbox 360. 720p is what you are really seeing. PC games will give you TRUE 1080p, 360 will not.

    It's safe for sure. If your TV is 1080p enabled and your Xbox 360 is 1080p enabled from the system settings, it'll be fine. Games not in native 1080p will be upscaled.
