Xbox 1x taking too long to power down since recent dashboard update

Ok just to get this out there first, I have had an Xbox 1x since it launched, I have had zero problems with it turning on or off before this recent dashboard update and I've always had it set to "energy saving" so it turns completely off.

Since the update last week, whenever I either try to turn the console off by using the controller or going and hitting the white X power button, the screen goes black and then the white X power button flashes on and off for what seems like forever. It gets
to the point where after 10 minutes I just go and hold the power button down to do a hard power off.

There are NO updates being downloaded, I already checked that and I always make sure to wait about 30 minutes after completely quitting out of what I was playing before trying to turn the system off.

Is anyone else experiencing these issues? The game I have been playing the past week has been Tom Clancy's Divsion 2 and I've only played for about 2-3 hours max before quitting out of the game, letting the xbox sit and then trying to turn it off.

The exact same thing is happening to my Xbox One S that I have since forever ago with zero issues thus far, except for this now.

It’s super annoying, and it was triggered by the recent user interface update.

and report the issue there and also via the feedback app on the console.

If the console is not enrolled in the Xbox Insider program, then be sure to try

the manual power cycle steps like mentioned on the following link, be sure to wait at least 60 seconds before powering on again:

Also what WPAK said didn’t work because it is the way I shut down the xbox when it does the infinite off glitch and I have to do it no matter what.
