    Xbox (1st Gen) backwards compatible on Xbox One


    Please please please make this a reality. I would love to have all my Xbox game available to play on One console. There were some real gems that first gen I would love to play again. Rallisport Challenge Max Payne 2 Just to name a quick two games off the
    top of my head.

    Does backward compatibility work on xbox one s?

    Any available Xbox 360 Backwards Compatible title will work on any current gen Xbox console.

    Just to expand on the above post. The Xbox One console is not backward compatible and will not play earlier gen games.

    Hi SlidSeven7006,

    I cant see it on the Xbox One Backward Compatible Game Library List but at the moment the BC team are working on bringing backwards compatibility to
    the next gen/ Series X, so the program has been put on hold for now.

    I’m sure they will resume their duties once their work on next gen / Series X is complete.
