I just got the new Xbox Wireless Controller, the official plug-n-charge kit, and the MS wireless adapter for Windows. Every time the controller is on and I'm in-game, the controller becomes unresponsive for 5-10 seconds if you either plug-in or unplug the
controller. Is this currently an unfixable issue for everyone with this controller? I'm upgrading from a 360 controller that swaps wired and wireless seamlessly.

*I have the official Plug-and-Charge kit

*For wireless, I originally tried Bluetooth 4.0 and thought it was the problem so I got the official Wireless Adapter for Windows and it's still a problem.

*Xbox Accessories did successfully update the controller
    to 3.1.1215.0

*Device Manager is all over the place depending on if it's plugged or wireless. Could there be a driver issue? (Notice different driver under "Human Interface Devices"

Wireless XBOX 360 controller won't work only in an online game (PC Win10 system)

    Hello.

My Wireless XBOX 360 controller will not work for example in NBA2K16 - it works only on a local game, but when I play with someone online, only the wired XBOX 360 controller works.

    It's a win10 pc system.

    Thanks

Unable to install XBox 360 wired controller on Windows 10

I am also having trouble running a Xbox360 controller on Win10

All drivers and OS are up to date

Controller is recognised and running properly according to the device manager.

Controller works on a Xbox360 console, wired or wireless (I am using the cable to connect to Win10)

Controller simply does not work at all, ring lights flash when plugged in and Xbox button pressed but that is all it seems to be able to do.

Have tried following all steps under installation and troubleshooting on the xbox support site, also can not log in to use xbox support chat or phone options despite the fact that I am logged in.

Xbox one controller bluetooth on my PC works but doesnt work..

I have the same problem. I think it was caused by a controller update (version from 17.11.2021). I enjoyed the new fast switching feature between Xbox and Bluetooth devices (double click pairing button).

Switching controller between Xbox/Bluetooth devices - OK

    Xbox connection - OK

Android mobile connection (bluetooth) - OK

PC Win10 USB connection - OK

PC Win10 Bluetooth connection - does not work. the pairing will be fine but controller does not work.

Xbox One S, 2pcs XboxOne controller, Windows 10 completely updated.

    EDIT:

    resolved issue - update Windows 10 21H2.

Calibrating Xbox 360 and a tv?

Silent Paradigm isn't wrong, however aside from turning off your advanced setting i.e noise reduction, mpeg reduction, and or motion flow... what you may also be experiencing is known as game lag, however it is not as the name would suggest. Game lag is
caused when wireless signals are lost or skewed between a wireless controller and console causing gamplay to be slightly groggy. This is why most mlg players prefer wired controllers or smaller hdtvs. A wired controller offers a direct kinection between controller
and console aliminating signal loss all together, where as a smaller hdtv forces the player to sit closer to the console aliminating possible signal loss with a wireless controller.

    controller range question

Xbox One controllers are designed to operate within 30 feet (9.1 m) of the console. If the controller has it impossible to connect another wireless device (such as a laptop, cordless phone, or wireless router) is interfering with the wireless controller's
connection to the console. Also no obtrusion should be between the controller and the console.

A wired connection at the distance you are proposing although may work in theory I find it not practical. The long connecting cable will cause more issues that will solve this situation in my opinion. It will be better if you get a direct connection of the
    controller.

Does the USB Charger Make Your Controller Wired?

The difference in response time between a wired and wireless controller is very very small. It's the same as if you were using a wired or wireless mouse. If you want that small amount of edge for a shooter, then a wired controller would give it to you. As
far as I know, plugging it into the USB does turn it into a wired controller.

Brand new controller is having issues

    Hi MK,

Thanks for reaching out to us regarding the controller randomly disconnecting. Verify that your controller batteries aren’t causing this issue. Note that a controller with low battery level might turn on briefly but not stay on for long.

You can also use a USB to micro-USB cable to connect your controller to your Xbox. Plug the micro-USB end into the top of the controller, and the USB end into the USB slot on the side or back of the console. The cable will provide both power and a wired
    connection to the controller
