What is the power voltage range on the Xbox 1 X?

Need help using XBox one outside of US (India)

Bought an Xbox one a few weeks back in the US and brought it to India today, was unaware of the voltage differences and tried plugging the unit which tripped.

Has anyone tried to use the Xbox one outsIDE of the US where they use a different voltage range(in US the cobs uses a 110v range whereas in India we have 220v)? What should I do now, should I buy a voltage converter which steps down the voltage or
wait till september till the official unit comes to india and them buy a power adapter separately?

Any help is much appreciated.

 

Xbox One X Voltage Question

Real simple question that nobody seems to know the answer to. Does the Xbox One X support 110-220V multi-voltage? Or is it linked to the region where I buy the console?

I'm a US citizen, preordered an Xbox One X in the USA, but tend to travel and live abroad a lot, thus the need to have a console that support both voltage (110 and 220). Considering the Xbox One S is multi-voltage, does the same apply to the Xbox One X?

I'm afraid we don't have any information on the voltage range of the console. To avoid any issues we recommend using the provided power cable and to not use a surge protector, also be sure to use your console in region you purchased in to avoid any power troubles.

My X says on the back: Rating 100-127/200-240V, 2.75/1.3A, 50/60Hz means it will work in USA and Europe I suppose. You don't have to listen to Mister Maka either, I've bought an Xbox One S in USA and it said on the back it would support 100-110 and 220V,
sent it to Poland and my two younger brothers have been enjoying it for nearly a year now without a single issue.

 

If you have the console, the input ranges are on the sticker in the back. At least for my console (purchased in the US), it appears to support 100-127V/200-240V.

Are you sending an Xbox One X internationally, or traveling with it? If so, you will want to review the voltage standards with the country you intend to visit, and check if it lies within the range of the country's supported voltage.
I think you can contact
Xbox Support (phone/chat) to see if they can send you a compatible power cable, but I am not too sure if they do this or not. Never hurts to ask.

 

I'm currently in the US. I wanted to purchase it before moving to New Zealand for a couple years. Seeing that I must return afterwards and that I hear that the one X has a built in power block, I wanted to know if there was anything I could do if the voltage
does not cover NZ.

 

Thank you, I might have to do that. I'm just afraid that the power brick being built inside might be a problem for this scenario.
