xbox 1 x glitching out and having my screen turn purple on and off?

The TV background is purple. It is not because of the XBOX. There is 0 picture coming from the Xbox. I was saying the only way I could get to the screen with the purple background (HDMI 1) is for something to be hooked up and turned on out of the HDMI 1
port. The HDMI 1 background is purple.

I have had my X for almost one month and it did the same thing to me today. After I quit a game, I can't go to the home screen, I just get a blank screen. I unplugged my X for about 10 seconds and that seemed to take care of the
issue when I booted it back up. Hopefully it is just a glitch since I have the X set to stay active and update even when turned off. Note just turning the X off did not fix the issue, I had to unplug it from the wall.

Hmmm...what's your way of turning off your xbox controller? I personally just hold the guide button down and press turn controller off on the screen option. If my xbox controller glitches out or cannot sync with the console, then I just remove the batteries
or charge pack in the back.

I also have the exact same issue, after moving my Xbox one x from one tv to the other after a few hours of gaming it suddenly became all wavy at the bottom of the screen and video and audio cut out completely at times, I thought it might just be glitched but after shutting it off it no longer turns back on. This Xbox one x is only 2-3 years old, and I can’t see it dying that fast. Is there any way to fix this? I have tried multiple HDMI cables, ports, and TVs.

I'm sorry for your issue; unfortunately, if you have also reset the console, I fear a technical intervention may be necessary. Even though it probably won't change anything, you could try connecting it to another TV to see if the problem persists.

Anyuway, I'm writing the reset procedure to confirm that you've done everything correctly.

To reset your console

Press the Xbox button to open the Guide.
Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.
Select Reset console.

You can choose between resetting and removing everything or resetting and keeping games and apps. I suggest starting with the second option first, and then perform the reset and remove everything only if the issue is not resolved by keeping games and apps.

It's important you know that "Reset and remove everything" restores the console to factory default settings. All user data, including accounts, saved games, settings, home Xbox associations, and all games and apps, will be deleted.
