Xbox 1 without A Halo release was a bad idea...

In my opinion the games released and available now with the one (except 1 or 2) didn't give enough motivation to fork out so many dollars.... EVERY Xbox new generation has ALWAYS had HALO to go along with it. Epic fail by MS methinks. Sales will double
when Destiny and HALO come out. By the way I have not bought the One yet as nothing of interest that I cant play on 360 has come out yet.....well a couple have but not anything I care to play.

bad idea, they need a new product to release at launch. prob bungie's new game. which will make halo prob look like garbage. even tho i still say i LOVE halo.

I think that if Microsoft is going to go with WP7 as a gaming platform, they're going to have to make way better games then the ones that they have now. Most if not all the games on WP7 are crappy, casual or boring.

 

I don't think so.. the console will sell itself just based on "yay new console!" hype for probably a month longer. There isn't really much long term stock in most stores even now. Halo is the kinda game that will empty consoles off the shelves even after
the console has been released, so might as well save such title for a bit later.

Realistically though the reason behind no new Halo isn't about marketing strategy, but cos the game isn't ready and they dont want to push out unfinished products, not for such an important title.

But sales wise it wouldnt have done much to release Halo with the console.

 

I reckon they should have released it next March with Titanfall.

 

Yes, X1 needs a launch title to be proud of for sure. Even if Forza is great it has never been a hot seller. The current games are lame when compared to 360 latest games.

 

I don't think that would've been specifically smart either. Titanfall is probably in the top 3 most anticipated games right now across all platforms. Probably a lot more so than Halo right now. Typically you see studios spreading out big blockbuster hits
so that they dont compete with other big releases. Several good games got abysmal sales and were forgotten when they made the mistake of releasing within a month of GTA V release, as an example.

I suppose you people already heard, but they did confirm Halo is coming in 2014.

 

The whole Halo thing is beginning to get a little stale so to say that a Halo release upon the console release would have made a difference is pretty much moot. Halo Reach was ok Halo 4 was obviously just a money grab. Titanfall is at least something new
that will more than likely be the bigger console seller than Halo this time around. Halo has gotten to where it is trying to be too much like COD and that in turn has watered down the multiplayer compared to what it was in Halo 2 and 3.

 

I am not a Halo fan but what Halo game launched with the 360? Halo 2 launched on xbox a year prior to 360 and Halo 3 launched in 07.

 

This is the first time that a console got so much exclusives titles at launch....Titanfall is coming mid march....And the next Halo will be release in 2014....

And 3 millions gamers already bought an Xbox one to play those games....

It tooks 2-3 years before the 360 got Halo3,Gears of war,Mass Effect,.....

 

I thought HALO 3 launched w/ 360???? I bought mine with it. Or maybe I was pissed then too and waited..... LOL!

 

Oh but methinks that Destiny will blow Titan away. I think it will be awesome! They are making it for 360 to I think but could be mistaken. Its gonna be Borderlands2/ Halo on steroids methinks'

Nope it did not launch with the 360. So basically you just are upset 343 didnt make a Halo in time for launch.

 

Release a new Halo with a COD and a Battlefield,this is a bad idea....343 got more time to make the game,Microsoft will be able to advertise it without any console launch....

 

feihC: If they are making it for the 360 also I would assume it would be good but not new generation good as the current games play exactly the same. I cant wait until the Xbox One only titles start being made. GTA V has proved that the 360 has not even
been maxed out yet. I hope the new Halo is for Xbox One Only.
