Xbox 1 update keeps freezing

i have a xbox 1 s for the last 3 days been trying to download the latest update to allow me to keep using it

however this update keeps freezing and crashing the xbox

after 3 days of this and numerous attempts to update (including several unplug for 1 minite attempts) i decided to do a factory reset

got all the way to update and once again freezes mid download and crashes the box am in the process of trying again

forgot to mention update freezes at 374mb left every time

help

For such cases, our suggestion here, attempt a Soft Factory Rest Xbox Support by selecting the following:
Reset and keep my games & apps. You should use this option as your primary choice when troubleshooting. It will reset the OS and delete all potentially corrupted data without deleting your games or apps;However, if the issue still persists, your Xbox needs to be repaired, if it's still under warranty you can request a repair order Xbox Support.

Thanks for reaching out to us here on the forums with this. I understand you're wanting to change out console parts and exchanging them. As always manipulating or modifying anything is not recommended by Microsoft and can very well cause damage to the accessories.

Go to the Xbox One System Update Solution.

Scroll down the screen and selectE100 XXXXXXXX XXXXXXXX.

Follow the instructions in Step 4 to successfully update your console.

Since the update froze at 52%, the step 4 was not made available to do the OSU1 or OSU2 update.

The only way the update completed upon restart was as I said above.

This tells me that the XBox OS is NOT hardware "Plug And Play" compatible.

Many other web sites say that the only way for a replacement ODD/DVD drive to work was to put the original drive controller board into the replacement unit.
