Thank you for reaching out! The fastest way to change the language on your console would be to go in to you Settings. From there simply head on over System and you should have an option to change the Language and Location. I accidently set one of my Xbox
One's to Japanese and found navigating the menus pretty much impossible. For this I had to access the troubleshooting menu and perform a factory reset (while keeping my games and apps of course)

1. Unplug the network cable if you're using a wired network connection.
2. Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.
   
3. Wait 30 seconds, and then plug the power cord back in.
4. Press and hold the BIND button and the EJECT button, and then press the
   Xbox button on the console.
5. Continue holding the BIND and EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds.
   
6. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the
   BIND and EJECT buttons after the second power-up tone.

4.Select Language and Locale.

5.Select Language.

6.Select the language that you want to use.

As jaspertodd suggested though, pull up a video on youtube that you know what you are suppose to click on.

When on xbox dashboard go to the settings tab (the most right tap)

1. go to system setting (the topleft corner)

2. open up console setting (1st on top)

3. choose language and locale (3rd from top)

4. language (1.st from top)

English should be the first on the top.

   2. Sign in using your Microsoft account.
   3. If multiple languages are supported for your country or region, select a language from Preferred Language.
      
      Note The Preferred Language option does not appear if only one language is supported (for example, the United States).
      

1. Click Save.

It may take up to 24 hours for this change to take effect on your Xbox 360 console.

The country or region of an Xbox LIVE account cannot be changed once the account is created, but you can select a different language if more than one is available.
