Xbox 1 Servers are BETTER than last gen Xbox 360 servers.

What up boys and girls.

I'd like to write something on these forums regarding Xbox 1 Servers. Now Xbox 360 only utilizes 15,000 Microsoft servers worldwide. Then before Xbox 1 launched, Microsoft said Xbox 1 will have 300,000+ servers worldwide. Microsoft then built TWO data centres
in Australia to help New Zealand and Australian's connect to the online service. Fantastic.

Console updates are quicker than on Xbox 360. Xbox 360 still has a lot of people using it! I have high speed Vodafone NZ internet. Lots of people run into lag when playing multiplayer in Minecraft Xbox 360. But on Xbox 1, Minecraft multiplayer is butter
smooth. I think Galactic Geek mentioned they might be using Microsoft Azure servers or something. But on Xbox 360 it can get so bad since Microsoft underestimated Xbox 360's popularity in only providing 15,000 servers for it. And yes, I've had Xbox 1 since
Day 1, so I've beat Goth.

Even went to the midnight launch where EB Games had 27 stores in New Zealand open for that event. I got my Day 1 Edition console with Kinect with the controller autographed by Microsoft, free Xbox wrist bands and Xbox necklaces (all official Microsoft brand).
And since NZ is ahead time wise, we were the first to play it on the official launch date which was a set date worldwide, not just according to US time. So I had a wooo about that. As for PS4 Pro servers, they are worse than Xbox Live servers for Xbox 1, it
struggling to load PS store and downloading stuff is slower on PSN. But it varies depending on which country you live in. I remember doing a TDU2 Update on Xbox 360 about 3 years ago. A 2GB Update for XBL which took two and a half HOURS!! And I have Open NAT,
and 100mb/s download and 10mb/s upload speed with Vodafone NZ. Vodafone is like what the second biggest telecommunications provider worldwide(?) Thumbs up to Microsoft on rolling out 300,000+ servers for Xbox 1. That's at least 10x more servers than what Xbox
360 runs on.

:)

Xbox 1 servers are superior compared with last gen.

Since Xbox 1 has over 300,000 servers worldwide, I like to comment that the YouTube and Netflix apps, run very well on Xbox 1. On Xbox 360, the YouTube app lags too much. Waiting for that loading rotating circle thingy in the centre of your screen, to go
away. This is because Microsoft only utilizes 15,000 servers worldwide for Xbox 360. It's also why downloads on Xbox 360 are very slow compared to Xbox 1. Minecraft multiplayer on Xbox 1 is butter smooth. On Xbox 360, it's Welcome to Lag City. However more
people still play on Xbox 360 compared to Xbox 1. It's also why I don't watch YouTube on Xbox 360 anymore, but the Netflix app still works ok. Avatar marketplace on Xbox 360 is extremely laggy. But on Xbox 1, it's butter smooth. Even though a lot of people
complain about the ugliness and boxy-ness of Xbox 1's UI, the servers on Xbox 1 are so much better than last gen. The servers are also superior to PSN. Sony operates less servers than the amount Microsoft utilizes for Xbox 1 (300,000+ worldwide, clearly stated
by Microsoft). I use to own a PS4 Pro and the servers would frequently only download at like 1mb/25 seconds. While the servers may not all be physical, I can definitely tell the difference between last gen and this gen on Xbox. It's like an Intel Core processor
with hyperthreading (4 cores 8 threads) and a processor without hyperthreading (4 physical cores). While threads are not physical cores, they do help with the processing. The same could be said to the physical and virtual servers out of that 300,000+. It goes
to show Microsoft can create software which pushes the limits of hardware. They are the biggest software company in the world, after all.

Can I play my Digital Library from another XB1?
until about 5 years after the xbox 2 comes out...then you're probably S.O.L on all your digital content as the download servers are taken offline.
what lol? hell the xbox 360 servers are still going strong probably another few years. I'm gonna guess this gen lasts a little longer than 5 years IMO.

300,000+ servers. As Microsoft puts it, that was the entire world's computing power back in 1999.

Are Microsoft paying you by word count or by number of servers added (since 1999)?

^ Apparently by word count considering the length of his average post. I've gotten to the point where I just skip by them, or maybe read the first sentence or two at the most.

Wait, you mean a "letter" is a forum post, right? In the before times, a letter was known as a missive or archaic form of correspondence manifested by handwriting (aka snail mail). In which case, if Microsoft are only paying you a buck for each wordy exposition,
then you're seriously being UNDERPAID! If I were you, I'd quit that PR job at Microsoft, smileskybird!

I take that as a joke,

A letter is a
grapheme
(written character) in an
alphabetic
system of
writing
, such as the
Greek alphabet
and its descendants. Letters also appear in
abjads and
abugidas (variants of alphabets in which vowel marking is secondary or absent). Letters broadly denote
phonemes in the
spoken form of the language, although there is rarely a consistent exact correspondence between letters and phonemes.

Written signs in other writing systems are best called
syllabograms
(which denote a
syllable
) or
logograms
(which denote a word or phrase).

It's a pleasure working for Microsoft. I turn on my Xbox console. Read what the Xbox UI is telling me. mhm, that's work. But work can be fun too. Depends on what kind of work. In November 2013, I got a bonus. When I got my Xbox 1, they autographed my controller
(Day One 2013) and gave me free Xbox wrist bands and an Xbox necklace and they told EB Games to give those to me too. They also awarded me with 11,274 points too. I'll never quit.
