Xbox 1 S Not powering up

Hi,

when I turn my xbox on, the light goes bright, immediately dims and turns itself off! It little over a year old which is annoying.

I've tried the usual stuff, unplugging, plugging direct into the wall, replacing power cable.

Can anyone help?

Xbox One not powering up?

Hi,

I'm having a problem with my Xbox one its been working fine since launch. Just before New Years Eve I went to power the console on and it wont power up.

The power units light seems to turn on for a few seconds orange then fades out, I tried to plug the power unit in but not have it plugged into the back off the Xbox One when I do this the light stays on orange. But if its plugged into the back of the console
it goes off after a couple of seconds.

Is this likely to be a problem with the Power supply or the console?

Im guessing the power supply but just with the light staying on when its plugged into the mains but then the cable not into the back of the Xbox one I was unsure.

Any information would be most appreciated.

If nothing works then the only option is to set up a repair request as mentioned on this same link.

I had the same issue and my Xbox is still in warranty.

I don't know what kind of support service Microsoft provides in India. There is no contact number on the website.

I am trying to raise a service request but it is not accepting.

If you don't have Xbox 1 yet, wait until the much more powerful Xbox Scorpio is out, which by the way, will be more powerful than the PS4 Neo (or 4.5). Xbox Scorpio will have a faster AMD Jaguar APU, 320GB/s bandwidth which is higher than the is it 224GB/s
bandwidth the GTX 980 has. And 6 teraflops computing power thingy, I heard the Xbox S doesn't have as good ventilation as the original Xbox 1, because the crammed a power brick inside, and like the tiny pen sized wholes punched in as 'adequate ventilation'
were as original Xbox 1's have wider ventilation wholes.

There isn't to me, any noticeable hardware revision between the Xbox 1 original, and Xbox 1 S. The Xbox 1 S is just like 40% smaller, can be placed upright, and do a few extra things maybe, including an internal power supply (the ventilation would be a worry
though. Small pen sized punch wholes on the console compared to the larger vent line-like wholes on the original Xbox 1). Another thing I dislike about the S, is - no Kinect port. You have to pay Microsoft more money to get a Kinect dongle port thingy so you
can hook up your Kinect to the Xbox 1 S.

It can be 3 things going on:

1. The power outlet

2. The Xbox One S cable is damaged

3. The Xbox One S power supply is burnt

Verify if you still have waranty and get a new one...
