Xbox 1/S extended power functionality. (Idea.)

So, I was just using my Xbox and thinking to myself how many times I only want to turn off my controller and it's an extra step away. I often turn off my controller more then I turn my console off. So, I thought maybe I'd make a straw poll? Also, the
ability to turn on and off the functionality of the power button on the console itself.

Let me know!

It was THEIR horrible choice but it will be YOUR fault if it takes hold....

Xbox One S 'instant-on' not working

The 'instant-on' functionality is not working on my Xbox One S.

I cannot turn my console on using controller, I have to press the power button on the console each time. It also starts up like it shuts down fully each time I power it off.

Can anyone help?

Umm, not quite sure what point you're making here, as my controller AUTOMATICALLY shuts down if I'm not using it, say after a period of five minutes or more of inactivity. Power saving options can be managed via the dashboard, so again, I think I missed
your point.

No I think you got his point just fine, its just that I think the OP didn't realise that you can just put your controller down and it will automatically turn off while leaving the Xbox One still powered.

Power cycling equipment that has been up and running for an extended period of time is a good idea.

Power cycle the Xbox and if not disruptive to other users power cycle your router/modem.

Still waiting for a MC Extender app also, still using my 360's and Linksys Extenders because they still work. But if the 1 supported MC through an app I'd probably buy 2 more 1's. Honestly. Lets's go MS! You can do this.
