    Xbox 1 powers up, buzzes, doesn't show on TV, and then powers down.


    Basically my xbox one will power on but doesn't show up on my TV. It will then make a little on and off buzzing sound and then shut down about 10 seconds after being turned on.

    Ive tried resetting the power brick, restarting my console by holding the power button, etc. I cant get any real help from microsoft because their support service is not great and won't let me talk to an associate over power troubles.

    Basically I have absolutely no idea what to do. Any suggestions or anything would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    Hi Kacper,

    Does your TV and channels work when plugged directly into the TV?

    You may need to clear the One Guide cache and also check the settings again and make sure your provider is showing up in the TV lineup.

    Go ahead and do a
    hard reset and power cycle    . Hold down the power button on the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down and then remove the power cable from the Xbox and the power outlet for about 2-3 minutes. Then re-connect and
    turn on the Xbox.

    Hey guys, sorry to hear about this.

    1) When you powered the Xbox One down, did you do a hard reboot but press+hold power button for 10 seconds?

    2) If that doesn't work, can you try setting your Xbox to Low Power Mode instead of Instant On?

    3) Do you have surround sound turned on for your STB or in Live TV Troubleshooting?

    Xbox one x turns on for 5-10 seconds then turns off

    It booted up then my controller started to flash, the xbox froze making a strange buzz from the tv and a few flickers and lines and now its doing the same as before?!

    i don’t think its power related

    any thoughts ?

    Hey Rekrap913!

    Make sure everything is tightly with the plugging in, If you do or If that doesn't work maybe the outlet on the wall doesn't give enough power to power up the xbox

    I have an outlet in my living room and it doesn't power up my TV so I have to use a different outlet
