Xbox 1 Power Supply Shuts off

I was getting back on my Xbox 1 and when I went to turn it on nothing happened, I figured a simple unplug it and plug it back in would work but it didn't so I checked my power supply and realized the light wasn't on so I unplugged it, waited 10 seconds and plugged it back in.

Once I plugged it back in, the light came back on so I figured it was working, but after a few seconds of trying to turn the Xbox on and it not working I realized the light had turned off again.

After a few minutes of testing I discovered that if I unplugged it, waited a few seconds and plugged it back in, the light would turn on and it would be orange, then after roughly 5-10 seconds it would just turn off.

I've tried completely unplugging the power supply, I've even left it like that for days (It's been almost a week since the issue started as of now) and nothing is working. I know the console isn't broken because it will still make the turning on sound in the few seconds that the supply light is on so I want to know if this is something I can fix or if I need to replace the cord entirely

Edit: I just wanted to mention that it had only been about an hour or two between when I got off and when I logged back on and the console had been fully turned off in the time I was away

As someone who had his XONE FAT die on him I can advise to replace the power supply, unfortunately Microsoft stopped manufacturing them a few years ago, I recommend contacting hardware stores that might sell them!

Make sure all vents are free of dust/debris then perform a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes.
Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.

If that doesn't help you should contact support directly for a possible repair.

Shut off ur xbox and unplug it. Then unplug the wire from the power supply. Wait a few min and plug it back into the power supply box, and then plug it into the outlet. Turn on and enjoy.

The Xbox abruptly shutting off either means an overheating issue or a power supply problem.

Check that your Xbox has plenty of breathing room around it. It needs to efficiently circulate cold and hot air to stay running. Also clean any dust off the Xbox, as dust bunnies can accumulate on the ventilation holes and cause the Xbox to overheat. The
Xbox One can also overheat if you stand it up vertically. The power supply brick requires adequate ventilation as well, and dust can accumulate on that.

If you have completely cleaned the dust off your Xbox and its power supply, and it’s still shutting off while gaming, then there is a problem with power. If it’s connected to a power strip or surge protector, the Xbox may not draw enough power and shut off.
See if there’s a difference when you plug it directly to the outlet.

If it still shuts off, then your power supply may be defective, and will require replacement. You can submit a repair order through Microsoft or find a used, genuine power supply from a used games shop.
