Xbox 1 Gameshareing gold doesn't work

So I ran out of gold and my mom is letting me game share her account, I get it set up, and I have her games, and game pass, but can't use gold features even though I am 100% sure she has gold. Very frustrated

If you have a child account associated with your parent account it will be necessary to change privacy settings in order for you to play online. Only your parental account can do that for your child account.

If you are on a different Xbox, have your mom sign into your Xbox and have her set it to "Home Xbox". Then you'll be able to play!

You guys are trying, but I can see you're not really understanding. I fixed the problem by just buying gold myself

That's what I did, it let me use her game pass but not the gold

What exactly is happening when you try and start a party or join a multiplayer game (both require gold)?

Does it say you need to purchase gold?

Does it say that this account does not have permission to start a party or are you getting any sort of error message?
