Xbox 1 Fan vibration at high speeds

Usually the fan will kick up in speed when you're playing a game. I have a feeling that the "buzzing" you describe could be something vibrating inside or around the Xbox when the fan hits a high enough speed.

Try repositioning your console, remove any loose objects sitting near it, and if it's an Xbox One S, change the orientation (horizontal/vertical). See if that helps with the buzzing.

It isn't the fan, and there are no unsecured objects in or around the device. It sounds similar to crickets chirping. It is distinct from the fan noise (which I can hear occasionally when booting games etc).

Are you playing a game using a game disc? If yes, what you might be hearing is the disc running at high speed inside the console and not the fan. AFAIK, The fan on the console runs at a standard speed.

The hard disk and disk reader spin at such a high speed that it is normal to vibrate and make a little more noise. Also, placing the console in an upright position can help.
