Xbox 1 failing to connect.

For some reason, my xbox one does not seem to connect to my internet or ethernet cable. The router we have works and devices in the house connect to it, including my tv. However, my xbox does not connect. I've tried unplugging and replugging. Ive looked at forums for help and asked google. How do i fix this?

I was, but I fear that if i reset i may lose everything including game progress.

Hi Zombie,

Are you able to try an alternate network temporarily; such as a mobile hotspot? It may help to isolate the issue.

That's puzzling.

Did the Xbox connect before or has this just started happening?

I did all the steps and nothing. The router itself is fine, and even my pc connects to it. Xbox on my phone works and its online. Its just my console that isn't connected.

I tried using a hotspot as well, but even that didn't work.

You can reset and keep your games/apps installed.

Even if you choose the option that removes everything the only game progress you'd lose is anything you've done since the Xbox was disconnected from Xbox LIVE as saves are stored on the 'cloud'.
