XBox 1 DVR?

Did I miss something? Wasn't the XBox 1 supposed to get DVR capabilities sometime in 2016?

All these predictions for the next gen Xbox even the name and it will be called Xbox 1. Why call it Xbox 1 though it is the third released Xbox not the first. Xbox 720 would have been a better name for it.

The vibration stops when batteries are low, the light also starts to blink. Even then it will continue for a few hours. There is an option to turn vibration off both in settings menu and a majority of games. Still, it was a bad move to not have the power
bar showing. As for the party and friends. Seems fine. Party works well, and voice quality is outstanding. Some just have to get used to.

They have put that on "hold" (read cancelled) to focus on gaming features that are getting the most feedback. I'm a little miffed. Here is an article for you:

We are currently using WMC, but without guide support now we are scrambling for a new solution. We had hoped Microsoft would simply provide DVR support in Xbox One when it removed support for WMC in Windows 10. But I should clearly stop holding out hope.
What 3rd party DVR services integrate with the Xbox One OneGuide then?

I am more than bummed that they cancelled it!! One of the main reason my wife and I cancelled cable!! We are really hoping they actually get to it!! Love the guide and pause feature but was hoping for a full DVR function! Purchased 2 external hard drives
to get ready for it last year. Oh well :-(

 

Yeah, really crappy thing to do. Announce that they are going to add this feature and have people start planning for it and then decide, oh nope never mind we decided you all aren't worth our time. So again MS is finding ways to not set itself apart from
others. Surprised that they let PS just have the VR world to itself.

After buying. Hey where is my Kinect? Hmm not there. It's okay I have one. wait I can't plug it.

2 weeks later power supply arrives after filling in 20 forms.

Great Kinect up and running now. I say "Xbox watch TV".
NOTHING HAPPENS.

Sorry, my "tongue in one cheek" way of saying don't be surprised to see all this type of stuff removed with Scorpio as for some reason Microsoft seem to think because bedroom gamers moaned about having what actually are great, all in one features, they
should forget about this One idea which greatly disappoints me as I love it and cannot believe they have not added DVR. Maybe some legal reasons or if not that then $$$

 

yes. It was advertised and used as selling point. It was supposed to roll out last year. Honestly, I am not sure how it is even legal to promise a feature and then not deliver. The DVR was a big reason why my wife and I chose One. Class action lawsuit is
probably the only way it will happen. Today, I am noticing a glitch in tv feature. The channels are showing out of order and almost all channels have disappeared. We have about six now. And a few of those are repeats. I wonder if Microsoft cancelled support
for the OTA tuner feature too.

 

They have the Tv Tuner that works but is lacking QAM support despite the fact the tuner has it built in and it WORKS on pc - MS just wont add the software to run it on the "One"
