Xbox 1 controller won't turn on!

So I was on my Xbox last night, and then my controller stopped working.

I'm holding the button and it blinks for a few seconds then turns off (I have put in new batteries).

Does anyone know how to fix it?

Xbox controller won't turn on

So I just got a brand new Xbox headset and I logged onto my xbox one and it said it wanted to update my controller. I plugged it in with a usb cable and it started updating. A second layer it said something went wrong and my controller might be unresponsive
for a few moments. It's now been 10 minutes and it won't turn on...... HELP!!!

Controller won't turn on

my Xbox one controller will not turn on. I logged on and my Xbox said that the controller needed an update, so I plugged it into the USB on the Xbox and now it won't turn on. This is now the second time this has happened to me. Help please

Hey mate, have you tried some of the troubleshooting steps at the link:
support.xbox.com/.../wireless-controller-wont-power-on

It does sound like it's not getting any power from the batteries though as the link blinks a few times and this is what happens when my batteries are flat.

If the console is turning on and if you connect a controller to the console to shut it off and it is coming up as port 2 - then somewhere there is another controller turning it on, somewhere - this will also cause a problem playing games since you won't
be able to be controller 1 to play your GT.

Check and make sure the battery contacts in the battery compartment are making good contact, and have you tried connecting the controller directly to the console with a USB cable, that would eliminate the battery issue if that was the problem. If that
does not work then something inside the controller broke. You do have a 90 day warranty on the controller from Xbox support

I would suggest returning the controller to the retail outlet which it was purchased. Most retail outlets have a 30 day return policy.

If this is not an option, your controller has a warranty of 90 days through Microsoft. You may find info on repairing/replacing your controller HERE .

Okay. Here's a list of what I did to try and trouble-shoot the issue.

1 - Turned off and unplugged XBOX 360. Plugged in 3 Microsoft brand wired controllers into USB ports on the back. Plugged in XBOX 360 and powered on. All 3 controllers show Player 1. Unplugged each controller individually at the in-line release/breakaway
connector and reconnected. No change. Each still shows Player 1.

2 - Turned off and unplugged XBOX 360. Plugged in 1 Microsoft brand wireless controller into USB port on front (I know it's a wireless controller but this one is used and the rechargeable battery is completely dead and won't hold a charge.). Plugged in
3 Microsoft brand wired controllers into USB ports on the back. Plugged in XBOX 360 and powered on. All 3 regular wired controllers show Player 1. Wireless controller that's plugged into a USB port shows as Player 2.

I forgot to add that now it can't connect at all. Charge and play kit turns the system on sometimes but doesn't sync the controller.. My Xbox won't find any controller and I will not buy another 1 when I tried with 6 different controllers with both rechargeable
batteries and fresh AA batteries
