Xbox 1 controller not working on windows 10 pc

I have a wireless Xbox one Patrol tech controller It has worked without issue for ages all of a sudden i plug it into my pc with a usb cable and it will not recognize it is plugged in at all, in device manager is says error code 10 device failed to start. i cannot unintall the device to re install drivers nothing i have tried has worked

Is it because Xbox 360 controller doesn't support on Windows 11 ?

controller work when it is connected to your PC through the USB port? Also, if you haven't already done so, may I suggest double checking "How

Are you sure the Xbox 360 is a wired Xbox 360 controller, and not connected by a separate cable like the play and charge cable? If it is the play and charge cable, it will not work on Windows 10, as it only charges the batteries on a PC. If it is a actual
wired controller, then Windows 10 should detect and then download the drivers if needed.
