    Xbox 1 controller keeps disconnecting


    Xbox1 controller keeps disconnecting at random times with and without usb connected. Latest update on controller and xbox has been done.

    april 21 2020 xbox one update fixed my controller disconnecting issue, was having your same issue.

    Thanks for letting me know.

    You should try power cycling your Xbox One console then, if you have not already tried this option.

    To do this, turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on
    the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds, then turn the console on again.

    Disconnecting takes place with controller connected with USB as well so it wont be battery or interference

    Hi there,

    Have you been able to check that your batteries are charged when you have this issue?

    Frequent disconnects can also be caused by interference. The Xbox One controller has a range of about 19-28 feet. Do you have any disconnecting issues while the USB cable is plugged into the controller?

    You should also remove obstructions between the controller and console, like laptops, metal shelving, and similar. If your Xbox is inside an entertainment center, try moving it outside the unit to get a better connection.

    Please let me know if you still have issues after trying these steps.
